Omg definitely time to update from last review plus New Hotel New machines new areas in casino which on that part I will say is very nice and they needed to get rid of that shameful Buffet!

We specifically requested Balsamic Vinaigrette instead of the Peanut dressing due to my girlfriends allergy. We told the food runner that it was wrong since it was tossed in a clear liquid instead of a darker dressing. I tated the salad and sure enough it was the peanut dressing.

The food runner walked off before we could verify this. Once my server returned, I explained to her what happened and she said she rang it up correctly. So we waited another 10 minutes for a new salad which came out covered in a clear liquid again with a side of balsamic vinaigrette. They try to tell me that the clear liquid was condensation from the lettuce. The rest of the food came out about 70 minutes after we were seated.

My girlfriend said the rockfish was very good but that the potatoes were extremely salty. I thought the American breakfast was pretty good. I thought the Hong Kong French toast was excellent. My server did a very good job trying to make everything better once there was a huge mess up on the salad. On July 3, I went by myself and just ordered the French toast and finally walked out after waiting for 45 minutes. The communication between the wait staff in the kitchen is terrible. We had reservations for dinner at 5: We got there on time.

We sat by the large windows and the sun was directly in my face and there are no drapes to block the sun. We did not receive our drinks until 6: Our waitress was very slow and did not come check on us at all. The waitress for the table beside us was at there We saw managers and other "suits" walking around not really doing anything. I will not go back. I live down the street from David's.

My husband and I walked to dinner there on a Friday night. Greeted by Michele, she seated us and told us everything about the menu. Our server was JaLeesa, she also was excellent. I was impressed by how much they both knew about the menu. JaLeesa also was spot on when she told me about the drinks! My husband and I can't wait to return to try more of the goodies on the menu.

We are very happy a good restaurant is on Hanover now. The bar is beautiful! The seating is comfortable. Sit where you can people watch and sip on a good drink, that was so much fun! You never know who will walk in a casino. You ran out of the chocolate tart, but I'll try it next week when we return.

Keep up the good work! Interesting that restroom is outside in hallway of hotel and not inside restaurant. Very good brunch menu! The Hong Kong French Toast was delicious, a brioche bread with strawberries and bananas plus plenty of real maple syrup. We did not enjoy our food. Cold corn bread - soggy waffles etc The omelette was big and tasty. The service was kind of lacking. Not crowded at all but food took over 30 minutes.

Drinks took over 25 minutes to make. Not crowded at all so kind of disappointing. Arrived for lunch and they were filming a commercial with a binch of models and crew. I was seated at a very rickety table in the corner. The service was slow. I waited 20 minutes for the food. The oysters should have been in the appetizer section of the menu. The fries were overly salty. The coleslaw that comes with it came in the tiniest container that I'm pretty sure was meant for ketchup.

The rockfish was bland and was plated on the largest pile of mashed potatoes I have ever seen. For the money, the food was not worth it. I was so hungry, I asked for some bread and butter. Our server was not very attentive and did not seem very concerned about our needs. I had to search for him twice to get service and the hostess had to go hunt him down.

They were filming a commercial for the restaurant, but should have been more focused on the service and food quality instead. Beautiful hotel and restaurant. Went for breakfast at a very slow time and while the service was good, it took over a half hour and what seemed like forever for us to get our food. After finally getting our food, the has browns and my sausages were lukewarm at best, and the onions in my omelette were very hard, and barely cooked, not to mention there was very little to no cheese in it as ordered.

Looking forward to visiting again! The restaurant was nice. I ordered the flight of crushes and it was super yummy. However, my main meal, Thai Basil Clams was really, really salty. It was very hard to enjoy. It had pork belly in the sauce, but I could barely enjoy it because of how salty the sauce was. I had korean short ribs and my date had the rockfish. Service not so much.

They served the salads then the entree 2 minutes later. There wasn't enough room for everything and I felt rushed through my salad. I don't think I will be back We enjoyed an early dinner 5: The food was good, particularly the crab dip appetizer though it did not come with enough pretzel bread to finish the dip and we were charged extra for more and the mashed potatoes.

The pancakes were fairly standard and an Asian chicken salad had good flavor, though not much chicken. Service was fine, though again, it was not busy at the time. Certainly a place worth visiting! Ordered fried shrimp and fried oysters both of which were severely overlooked. Also took over half hour to serve food. The restaurant looks really nice as soon as you get to the front of the restaurant.

I was very impressed with how big and nice the people who greeted you and the amazing waiter James. I ordered the onion soup and was so amazed by the presentation.

It was placed in a whole onion and topped with cheese. My husband had the crab soup which was like 2 or 3 times what the onion soup was for a dollar more than my soup was. I ordered the chopped steak which was sitting in butter or oil and the taste was horrible. I had mashed potatoes and asparagus and they give you 3 pieces which as a side was differently not enough.

I enjoyed the food and service. I would recommend to at least try it. When we asked for a glass to go with my husbands beer the waiter returned with a small water glass. We were not given extra plates to put our food on. The food was served instead on a platter with no edges and the food kept slipping off the flat surface. We were not asked if we had our player card to get credit for dining. The food is delicious!

Great service, great atmosphere overall I can't stop talking about my experience. My first visit was Saturday, June 2nd and I returned the very next day.

And I normally do not take a picture of my food but on my second visit I did just so everyone could see what I'd been raving about. Sign up Sign in. Overview Photos Menu Reviews. Good for a Date. Welcome to David's at Live!

Dined on September 16, Upon entrance, you see just how beautiful and new the hotel is. It matter if you come in the front or back of the lobby. They have a VIP check-in area which we weren't privy to this stay. But with the way mom likes to gamble, we will be to that level soon. The room was super modern and comfortable.

Walk in shower that is separate from the toilet area is a nice modern touch. The view is amazing as you look over all the traffic and area around the hotel. We stayed on the 15th floor and it was a nice sight to look down. I did not eat at David's or Luckies this time but will be doing such on my next visit. Staff is very nice, professional and welcoming. I love that you have to show your key to a staff member to get on the elevator because that makes me feel safe against those with ill intentions.

I sucked at taking pics of the room and view before checking out. I will take photos next to around but I did snag a few of the lower level of hotel. I cannot fall asleep in this expensive room. There is a blinking green strobe light which I'm told is in every room in the hotel due to "getting the kinks out.

I'll be updating my rating depending on the response from management. I've now been told this is a permanent safety feature in every room. Good luck with that. Went on a Sunday night before a flight out of bwi. Was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to park. Table dealer and drink server were nice and reliable, so I had a pretty positive experience. Would definitely go back. My favorite casino in the DMV area! While I've had many unlucky nights gambling here, I do think overall this place is great--most of my casino nights are here.

Parking is straight forward--there's a huge garage to park in, with elevators going to the 2 main entrances on opposite sides of the garage.

Also, they offer affordable valet tip: One of the pluses about this casino is that they have several bars throughout the casino tip: Most of the bartenders are regulars, so it's nice to see familiar faces every time--and the majority are rather friendly.

There's lots of game table options and many slot games to choose from. I do wish there were more food options inside the casino. Not too thrilled about the ones that they have--but when I am hungry, I do eat at Luk Fu.

Great thing about that place is that they are always open late! Don't you just love Fundraisers. I know I do! I would definitely do this again but just keep in mind at the casino they are very strict on costumes such as no face make-up and no masks whatsoever. I went as Bones and my husband was a zombie skeleton but he had to remove the face paint. Luckily we got the Selfie in before he had to remove it.

I guess just in case something goes down they want to be able to identify everyone. They had alot of cool costumes to say the least. I saw the Flintstones.

Tina Turner and so many more. They held an Auction for bidding if one so desired. Also all the drinks and food were included. This event had a great turnout. It was to help the critical ill children and their families. The only downside was they didn't have enough table's to cover seating for everyone.

Alot of the tables were already reserved. So we had to do quite a bit of standing but we eventually found a table. The food was average. I really enjoyed the Crab balls the most! It was enough to fill me up for my over indulgence of Apple Martini which the bartender definitely made to my liking. The entertainment was good if you like Rock and Roll. I'm versatile and love a variety of music.

My overall experience was good and l would definitely be gained to make a donation next year and attend again. Thanks Casey for making this Halloween event a huge Success. Quite possibly the most poorly run business in MD if not the uS Can't take drinknon restaurants even after being told so Can't understand why they spend millions on a new hotel and don't include a pool. If you want to compete with the MGM you need a pool.

Pretty much everyone I've talked to say the same thing. Also, the rooms are nice but very small. Why isn't there self parking at the new hotel. Yeah, you can park across the street, but then you have to dodge the cars as you cross back to get to Live. Except for Prime which is very nice, but very expensive, the other places to eat are at best average. David's is ok, but, way overpriced. Live has really cut back on their promotions. They used to have nice giveaways to Chairman players but that seems to have been cut.

Two years ago they gave away your choice of a 70 inch TV, gas grill,or other nice gifts. They completely gutted the Chairman shares program. Used to have really nice selections, lots of gifts to choose from. Now they hardly have anything. They actually have a "food" category with nothing in it. Plenty of other gambling options in MD. They had a hype woman in the bathroom saying " Have a good night! Thanks for coming out! I was super motivated although the last 5 times coming to this casino I have lost a ton of money Got a question about Live!

Ask the Yelp community!
